Wotcha.

So if you're a regular over here at the Gobblynne website the last thing you heard from me was that I was away trevelling... well I went to India, China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand and somehow came back to Sydney in Australia and will be staying here for a year it sounds like. How bizarre. 2009 was the best year of my life, had so many amazing experiences. Anyone considering travelling - DO IT.

Anyway, to work....

Has someone out there got a silly brain that's itching to talk nonsense and make people giggle?

I am eager to get back into my animation and wanting to expand my showreel and so am looking to do a number of short clips, up to about a minute in length. I haven't done comedy in animation before, and wanting to try something new.

Wow, what a year so far!

Just received the news that "Stay In My Memory" has won 2 awards, both "Best Animation 2009" at the End of the Pier International Film Festival in Worthing and Fallbrook Film Festival in America. So happy! I also got a call yesterday asking if I want it played at Glastonbury. YES.... free tickets too please ;)

After the work that I did for CBBC in February however, work seemed to dry up and I decided to take what little money I had and go and travel the world for 6 months. It was about a second after I bought the plane tickets that the jobs started coming in (I've had 10 job offers in the past week) - law of sod how I hate you. But it's all good as I'm off tomorrow to enjoy the sun and explore the lands, first stop India.

This does mean however, that there will be a lack of animations from me for a while, so apologies. And if you email I might take a while to get back to you, but will do asap.

Have a BRILLIANT summer everyone, catch you on the flip side x

Hey all! Just an update to let you know that my latest job was to make a series of animations for a CBBC documentary about homeless children and their views on homelessness. It's a sad subject but the content is very light hearted and the animations are very fun and silly! "Sofa Surfers" is on every night at 6.30pm for a week from Monday 16th March on BBC HD (Sky 143) and CBBC (Sky 613 Freeview 70). If you miss it you can catch it on iPlayer.

And just to let you know that "Stay In My Memory" is currently doing the festival/screening rounds and has had some amazing feedback so far. Great news :)

Hello peeps!

One of my random jobs recently was to do some graphics for a website (which is still being built) but we made it into a Facebook application too!

The application is now in both Facebook and Bebo, and we are currently working on MySpace.

Feedbacks would be more than welcome - things that could be improved, age ranges, game ideas etc?!

Yay websites up!! Just a quick note to let you all know what I'm doing at the moment... (May 2007) I have been selected as one of the top 12 filmmakers short listed to direct a £1Million film as part of the My Movie Mashup competition www.myspace.com/mymoviemashup Wow!!

The judges will pick the top 3 on June 28th and then it's up to the myspace community to decide the winner (July 12th). I seem to be the underdog as the other filmmakers seem quite professional with famous actors and obviously a lot of money put into their shorts. Can't quite believe I'm up against such talent!! It's also giving me a lot of publicity, I am due to have interviews with the Bath Chronical, Bath fm and ITV West in the next few days.

I also recently had an audio interview with the lovely MarBelle of Directors Notes chatting about "Gobblynne" and animation in general www.directorsnotes.com. If you go to the website you can also have a peek at the script for "Gobblynne" and some stills & process materials. Let me know what you all think - loving the feedback!

Aside from that good news I have just come back from driving round Europe and am ready to start buckling down to some work. My next project will be with my brother making a music video for his AMAZING music - check out www.myspace.com/bimmusic.
