I was lucky enough to be part of a wonderful exhibition recently called ‘Cooperesque’.
Cooper is a 12 year old Australian boy with autism who has a magnificent love for storytelling and illustration. It seems he just cannot put his pens down and produces about 2 books a week!
Cooper’s parents wanted to help raise money to publish his books and organised the Cooperesque exhibition where professional illustrators recreated Cooper’s artwork in their own style.
Below is the piece of Cooper’s artwork that I chose and subsequently the version that I created:
